Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
I just wanted to welcome everyone to my blog and to my very first post about my life. Along with posting articles and multi-media resources about business, I wanted to also share my life so that You the reader can build a personal relationship with me.
I am excited about the prospect of taking my readers with me in my daily life and sharing my deepest and most heart felt stories and experiences. I have a lot to share and I hope you will share your opinions and advice with me as well.
Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day
Yesterday was St. Patrick’s Day and I usually don’t celebrate St. Patrick’s day but my good friend Kyle called me up to see if I wanted to go out . So we went to Tyler Texas which is about an hour and twenty minutes from where I live.
I used to live in Tyler for about four years until the summer of 2008 when I moved back to my home town. There is a bar a friend of mine used to own called Where’s Rufus that we decided to go to.

Now, before we decided to go to Where’s Rufus some other friends ours (Girls) were meeting up at Double Dave’s where they had 50 cent green beers. Couldn’t pass that up right?
Shelby and Jennifer where already up there drinking getting ready to do their Irish Jig!
So we joined them and they told us that two more of their friends were coming up, Sonia and Sarah. Now I had seen pictures of Sarah before but I had never met her.
To understand what social entrepreneurship is let’s first be clear about what an entrepreneurship is.

So an entrepreneur is someone that has a burning desire to start a business and takes the actions necessary to start upon a new business venture. They are usually the heart and soul of that business and the success of that venture ultimately lies in the hand of the entrepreneur themselves.
If you have ever wanted to start a business, you probably caught the entrepreneurial spirit and wanted to take the risk of not having a job in order to create a whole new business.
The Social Entrepreneur
Social entrepreneurship mirrors entrepreneurship except that the focus or the desired result is not profit. A social entrepreneurs main focus is to create social change for the betterment of underprivileged people.
Profit can be a by product of this change but the primary goal is for social change. These social entrepreneurs actually take the same principles of entrepreneurship and apply them to a business but they are doing it to enrich the lives of other people.
The New Heroes website has some real life examples of social entrepreneurs that you should go check out. Who knows maybe this type of entrepreneurial spirit, that targets social change, may inspire you to go in that direction.
Social Media is taking the world by storm but we shouldn’t forget that the old school ways of traffic generation still work today. As people gravitate towards using social media more, it may indeed open up the doors for the old techniques.
There are many traffic generation strategies not mentioned in the video but these are some of the heavy hitters for beginners to start focusing on in order to get that much needed traffic thats vital to your business.
So, I wanted to do a video post today about some of the old traffic generation techniques for those of you that don’t already use them.

One of the worse accusations to be accused of these days is the act of spamming. However, most of us do not know what constitutes spamming on social media sites.
The last couple of years has brought a major change in the way we market our products, sites and companies with the coming of social media. As always, you have people trying to do it the right way and you have people trying to cut corners and get an edge by engaging in unaccepted practises and strategies.
Google fights against two main groups of Internet criminals. I use the word criminals because we treat and view these groups just like we treat and view criminals in the live world. We watch out for them and engage in practises to help stop them from achieving their goals. Which is to get around the accepted system of doing business or the acquisition and use of personal property.
In this case your personal information is your property. These two groups of people can be classified as spammers and SEOers. Now you might say that you have to SEO in order to get notice by Google and get the free traffic that Google provides. Yes you are correct but its not SEO that google has a problem with. It is the abuse of the SEO tactics that Google has a problem with. SEO tactics such as “Link Farms” are the types of SEO practise that Google frowns upon because of the blatant attempt to manipulate their algorithms.
SEOers basically try to manipulate traffic to a commercial message with out putting in the time and effort of sharing relevant and quality content.

Everyone can agree that the top three Social Media Sites on the Internet would be Twitter, Youtube and Facebook. As I used these social media sites I began to wonder how did such a dynamic website become the Internet giants they are today. Who created them and how did they become so popular.
These sites have changed the world as it was only 15 years ago. They have changed politics, business and the way we interact with other people who enjoy the same things we do.
All three are unique in their own ways but of the three Twitter presents itself as being the most effective for business because its a free way to build a list. Facebook is the best at attracting new prospects and Facebook is best at building relationships with those prospects.
I will be doing a article similar to this one over all three sites but I find Twitter the most intriguing because of the connections that can be made. Namely, nowhere else can I go and tweet (speak) to a celebrity and actually have a reasonable chance of them speaking back to me in the comfort of my own home.
So, let’s begin with the History of Twitter and its functions.
There are a myriad of sites being built upon the Twitter platform that interact with your account on Twitter. A whole community has grown around twitter and the future seems very bright, but for the newbie Twitter can be confusing and lonely. I know this to be true because I signed up for an account 2 years ago and have only recently become active on the site.
