Paul,

Thanks for a great article that is much needed. All of us who are entrepreneurs are excited about using social media to meet new people and connect. Building relationships is certainly the most important goal in any industry.

Keep up the good work! I wish you much success....

Thks Eric,

I cleaned up my activities on twitter and facebook by monitoring how many times I try to send people to my blogs. On twitter, people are twitting in blocks and every tweet is a ploy to get you to their affiliate product or whatever they are trying to sell.

I look for relevenat articles now to tweet and basically used twitter to talk to people. Which is what twitter is for. On facebook, I really never spammed on there but I did create many groups for the sole purpose of getting tons of members so that I could send messages to them. I deleted those groups and now try to have useful groups and I'm not much worried about how big it becomes.

Really I have just made a conscious effort to use the sites the way they were intened and I have read the spam policies of each site. Your right, it does change a lot so Its just a matter of business etiquette.

This is a great and informative article on spamming! Thanks for sharing. Most points I do agree on, but I was under the impression that the Internet was created by DARPA for military purposes? Although we all have spammed, knowingly/unknowingly in the past, I like how you stated that you've changed up how you conduct business on the Internet. Because the information highway is constantly changing, users have to adapt to any possible scenario.

regards,
